There are multiple ways to Adding a New Make Item. The easiest way is to add it from the ‘Items’ product module. However, a New Make Item can be created while creating a Quote or Sales Order too.

Method 1: From “Items”

  1. Navigate to the Production Item page, click on “+New Make Item”. In the slide out modal, enter the name of the Make Item.

  2. Ensure that you choose the status of the Make Item. (Make Item Status explainer inserted).

  3. For easier reference and navigation, you are encouraged to upload an image of the new make item.

  4. Enter the necessary details like SKU and Default storage location.

  5. By using the “Sellable” toggle you may indicate if the item is available for sale. If the toggle is on, the system prompts you to switch on the method of sale. The two available methods of sale are “Qty Breaks” and “Lead time Markup”. Based on your choice, the system will further nudge you to input Unit price and Margin or Default Lead time.

+ New Make Item> “Sellable”

  1. You may then proceed to add in any relevant notes or custom fields. You are also encouraged to upload relevant documents like part diagrams.

  2. Lastly, you may begin to do the routing by adding an operation.

  3. Ensure to click on “Confirm” to save your new Make Item.

Method 2: From “Quotes”

Note: This method can be only used when you are trying to Create a New Make Item while creating a Quote. (New Make Item has to be part of the Quote)

  1. Navigate to the “Quotes” Product module and click on “Create Quote”.

  2. Scroll to the section “Items in Quote”, located at the bottom.

  3. Click on “+Add items” and then click on “+New Make Item”

  4. Enter the necessary details like SKU and Default storage location.
