Work Centers are machines or resources in the shop. A collection of work centers that share the same behavior / have the same functionalities are called Work Groups. Work Centers and be configured in many ways but they should always assigned to at least one Work Group (but can also be assigned to many).
Below are some of the ways people use Work Groups to organize their operations:
Simple example: think of a restaurant that has a few different appliances. Some of them are dual range / ovens, and some of them are just ranges and ovens.
